The 2nd annual FAB Night Out took place on Sunday 11th December 2011 at the Landmark Village Events Centre in Lagos.

FAB Night Out is  definitely one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the Lagos fashion event calendar.

This year had awards presented to FAB winners and fashion showcases by various designers.

The red carpet was on FIRE with celebrities and socialistes from the world of fashion, music and media.

CITY PEOPLE HOSTS UGONNA OMERUO

HSE OF NWOCHA was hosted on the 10th of Dec by the CITY PEOPLE GROUP. It was really humbling for me when i was notified about his event in my honour. I had to send messages out to a few friends to come celebrate with me. I also recieved an AWARD for oustanding contribution to the nigerian fashion industry.

The event was held at the Aries Suites, osborne foreshore estate, ikoyi lagos. At 6pm

Rita Dominic in Hse of Nwocha

The 2nd Annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) dominated the social calendar in Lagos this past weekend. The event came to a glittering climax at the Gala & Awards Night which took place on the 3rd of December 2011 at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island.

A long list of superstars from Nollywood including Kate Henshaw, Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke, Omoni Oboli and Rita Dominic graced the event alongside entertainment/media industry maestros Amaka Igwe, Ben Murray-Bruce, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, Celine Loader and a host of others.

Hollywood was represented by screen divas Lynn Whitfield and Tichina Arnold who remarked that they thoroughly enjoyed the AFRIFF experience.

Awards were presented and guests were enjoyed top-notch entertainment provided by chart-topping duo P-Square.

It was a great year to wrap up the Nigerian movie industry calendar. We are definitely looking forward to the third edition of AFRIFF in 2012.

UGONNA OMERUO FEATURED IN BGM MAG...

Hse of Nwocha was featured in the oct/nov 2011 issue of the new BGM magazine. BGM is a brand new lifestyle magazine for african men, this is its second issue and its really amazing. Its a very interesting read especially if your at the airport waiting for a flight or your having a break between meetings. It has write ups on fashion, grooming, relationships, fittness, travel, politics etc, just name it they've got it. They also feature a very special woman as the venus of the month and guess what....... I was the venus for this issue. I had an interesting afternoon at the shoot and did a fun interview with the reporter.

LAGOS STYLE WEEK 2011

Lagos style week is a fashion event aimed at providing a stage for new and independent designers in a real authentic African look. With the lack of financial inspiration in the Nigerian fashion scene, the progress of emerging fashion designers are extremely limited and most designers face lots of challenges in order to match the success and exposure of  high fashion designers in Europe and South Africa. Lagos Style Week will be linking Nigeria’s best emerging designers with today’s top fashion buyers.

The show will be taking place at The Incubator Victoria island Oniru Estate, on the 26th and 27th of November and will display the works (10 design pieces) from 5 established and 20 emerging designers. The event will take place on Saturday 3 PM – 9 PM and Sunday 5 PM – 10:30 PM. The tickets cost N5,000 for regular (dinner ticket) and N10,000 (get to test drive a Porsche car for a day)  and each ticket entitles you to the pre-party, back stage, red carpet access and lots more. Dress code is for Saturday is Casual Wear/ Sleek Fashion Wear, while for Sunday, Evening Wear.

On the 16th of Nov the LSW team organized a photo shoot for the designers showing at the LSW on the 27th of nov and since Hse of Nwocha will be showcasing, I thought to bring u all a sneak peak of the main event and back stage shots from the shoot. My model for this shoot was Aisha Shaba, she is an upcoming actress and is one to watchout for, she is currently on the Tinsel cast on M-net so watch out for her on Tv.
